Conversations - Mescapolitan
David wakes up to find himself muddy, bloody and drugged in a forest. Luckily, his bodyguard Larry not only knows what happens, but was the one that gave him the mescaline. The latest "Conversation" courtesy of the best show soon to be on TV, Break a Leg!

You. Guys. Are. Hilarious.
Also, Shiva is technically a "he".
that was a really good one...very intriguing.
A drugged David probably doesn't know the sex of Shiva. A sober Larry definitely doesn't.
no worries. happens all the time. usually i melt people for it, but i like your show.
So, tell me, how did you deal with having duct tape ripped off your face? Or, what is the prop's brand name? You can never have enough ideas for next Halloween
I'm really, really dedicated?
No, that's not true, I'm not at all dedicated.
It's real duct tape, the trick is to cover most of the middle of it and leave a liiiiiittle bit of tape uncovered on both ends. That way it sticks and it only stings a tiiiny bit when it's pulled off (stings enough to give you something to work with, as an actor.)
It lacks the satisfying rip of what real tape would sound like, but that's what Dustin, our sound guy (and coincidentally, Mint) is there for.
Ah well, I don't know if anyone would be dedicated (or maybe in this case, insane) enough use real duct tape. Especially if you have to shoot multiple takes.
I DID get to lie on the dirty ground, face-first, over and over again though. So, that's SORT of dedicated. Plus, it was cold. And we didn't eat breakfast. And I smelled entirely too much like ketchup (blood) -- and I came very close to eating my own arm.
Man, there's nothing like using ketchup for blood. That's a stink that doesn't soon leave you.
Great Conversation!
Go sound effects!
Ok, ok, you win. You're kind of sort of dedicated. Especially considering you thought about gnawing off your own arm. I've been there, I can appreciate that.
And yes, go sound effects:D I've seriously been considering getting my own sound effects team for my life. Or at least, for Halloween
ya know, for some reason when you guys do sudden 'zoom-in's on peoples faces, it does not look as cheesy as when bruce lee did it. i think you guys could bring back the zoom to holly wood.
love the show, you have me on the edge of my seat for the next episode.
WNAV --
It's a style developed by The Office (the UK version) and then used in Arrested Development and the US version of the OFfice. And lots of other shows after, too, like Firefly and Battlestar Galactica.
But thanks for the compliment!
Glad you like the show!
You're so humble!
I liked it better the second time I watched it. The first time, I had no real sense as to where it was headed--nor did it feel right to me that David stuck around to hear that whole explanation. Once I could anticipate the desired effect, I enjoyed it more.
Especially the opening scene, with your fluttering eye.
And the verbal explosion of Larry's name! Hilaaarious.

Dammit. Sorry.
Damn you Larry!! I actually felt sorry for you!
(...hey, accidents happen.)
Another great conversation! I love how you guys do these. I think this show may be the funniest on the internet.....except for Net_work from black20....which nobody has ever heard of....
You know....gnawing off your arm would have added to the show. So much for dedication :O
Accidentally shot him :D. I like.
Yuri, did you (or the editor) time your eye-fluttering to the music in the intro? It's nearly spot-on.
(And sooo pretty *smile*)
