Dudes -- seriously. That is the funniest episode since the guys did that one thing that proved in equal measures to be pivotal, ironic and evocative of early Fellini.
Well done. The parallels to Kant's own systematic analysis of self and universal being are subtle but tangible.
Bravo, I say. BRAVO.
Bold analysis, Mr. Jersey.
But does this hold up? Have you considered the ghost not as a metaphor but a literal interpretation of our own failings to grasp the nature of past, present, and future as an undivided whole?
Regards, and in eager anticipation of your reply.
What are you two talking about?
This is just a funny show! Enjoy it!
And besides ...
This is clearly a foible and not self serving didacticism.
I suggest re-watching mid period Truffaut for a better understanding of what the directors are trying to grasp with their penetrating dialogue and insightful mirth.
While both your hypothesis prove to provide intellectually stimulating concepts. I propose another method of perception, perhaps the authors intended the content to manifest more our own inner-struggle with our concept of self and spirit.
Surely the scene where David Penn and the body guard Larry Gibbons earn their room and board is meant to inspire a direct link to our own battles with our inner demons. And possibly to an even larger extent, the human race's struggle to understand it's own need and desire for darkness and destruction.
After all, if there is no darkness, how can there be light?
I was more absorbed by the fact that this is sponsored by Holiday Inn Express.
If one takes the first letter H of "Holiday" and finds the corresponding numerical value in an A=1, B=2, Etc. Cryptology, then you obtain the value 8.
In similar fashion, I of "Inn" and E of "Express" yields the numbers 9 and 5, respectively.
Thus we have 8,9 and 5.
The sum of these numbers is 22.
Grover Cleveland was our 22nd President.
Grover of Sesame Street fame is blue.
In many diverse cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs, brings peace, or is believed to keep the bad spirits away.
There is a ghost in this video.
Ergo ... I am totally freaked out.
And may I suggest that Larry's reliance on his gun is a reflection of society's reliance on violence as the terminal solution to all conflict while the presence of ghosts suggests the inevitable mortality of man in the dog-eat-dog environment man must struggle to endure every day.
And may I also suggest that "g-g-g-ghosts?" is a nice homage to Shaggy from Scooby Doo.
I'm going to use these conversations as my study-notes for my Philosophy final that I'm taking...
if I don't pass its all your guys' faults
Blame it on San Andreas if you must find fault.
I think, therefore I am.
This is one of the funniest i've seen so far. Great job. The ghost walking through the wall was VERY well done.
keep up the amazing work
hahaha, chase was in porn!!!
what were you guys talking about, again?
Great interview with "Break A Leg" creator/star Yuri Baranovsky over on Tubefilter.
Great video. Keep them coming. I can't wait for your next one!
i'm stringing someone along in the youtube comments trying to convince him that claudio and humphrey are played by two different actors. i mean, it's like superman and clark kent!
I saw that...careful kevin, this is how death-threats start
besides, who's to say they AREN"T played by two different actors?
dun dun duuuuuu
Yuri hasn't yet published it, but considering the topic of my latest blog it's really weird that you're all spontaneously talking philosophy.
Perhaps akin to Nietzsche's concept of perpetual return Jimmy? No, actually that's nothing like it.
I hate your blogs Drew, I hate them so much, they make me think and feel and they challenge me to be a better person every time, and...(...) I hate them...
I looked you guys up on imdb, and you have a 9.8! good job!
